PLANT PARADISE COUNTRY GARDENS

In Caledon, Ontario, Canada, Plant Paradise Country Gardens was founded in 2005 as a perennial nursery and garden center. Numerous awards have been given to their destination garden center and botanical garden.

The Caledon nursery focuses on cultivating and marketing uncommon, difficult-to-find perennials and native species. They exclusively create top-notch, deeply rooted plants using organic gardening techniques. They don't use synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides.

ALTON MILL


The most stunning arts venue in Canada is the Alton Mill, a unique venue for holding events as it is home to about 25 studio artists, galleries, a heritage museum, and one-of-a-kind businesses. This national award-winning heritage structure, which was constructed on the Shaw's Creek banks, is now "a jewel in the crown of the GTA's arts scene."

GREAT WAR FLYING MUSEUM

The Great War Flying Museum is run by the Ontario Aviation Historical Society and is a licensed non-profit organization with volunteer members that is permitted to give tax receipts to all contributors. Located at 13691 McLaughlin Road P.O. Box 27, Stn. Cheltenham Caledon, Ontario.

With its limited edition prints, vintage pictures, and posters, the art collection is worth seeing on its own.

Flags, uniforms, models, and embroidered souvenirs are all included in the collection.

Their mission is to preserve the memory of the courageous young men who so heroically served Canada and all the brave young men who helped pioneer military aviation.

ALABASTER ACRES

A family-run farm in Caledon Village, located at 18692 Hurontario Street Caledon Village, Ontario, L7K 0Y1, Alabaster Acres offers farm stays, workshops, and up-close encounters with livestock to visitors of all ages.

There is definitely something for everyone to learn here on the farm, from their Farm Fresh Adventures for Kids program to courses on handicrafts, food preservation, life skills, rearing backyard chickens, and more. In a stunning forest location, they provide barn event space and farm accommodations in their special Glamping tents (glamorous camping).

FORKS OF THE CREDIT RIVER

A fantastic fly fishing location called The Forks of the Credit River. Please be aware that this is a restricted fishing area; fishers are required to use single barbless hooks and are not permitted to use organic bait (such as worms, etc.). 

Check ahead of time what amenities and activities are offered, then pack what you'll need (such as water, food, a mask or other face covering, and hand sanitizer).
