BEACHWAY PARK

There is a lot to do and see at The Beachway, including a 6.8-acre park, two kilometers of lakefront trails, an outdoor pavilion, a playground, and a seasonal concession, located at 1100 Lakeshore Road. For the weekend warrior or thrill seeker, there are numerous athletic pursuits available, such as biking, running, rollerblading, and lake swimming. The Rotary Centennial Pond, which is next to the Dofasco Waterjet Park and Playground, is a great place to sail your model boat. Do you desire to go more slowly? The Beachway is the perfect spot for a tranquil stroll along a magnificent shore; you may play in the sand, watch birds, or just enjoy the scenery as you take in an inspirational sunrise or a bright sunset there.

KERNCLIFF PARK

Kerncliff Park, a remarkable and lovely park nestled into the Niagara Escarpment, was previously a quarry. This park's natural stone setting, wooden bridge crossing a marshy environment, nature paths, and backdrop views of the city and Lake Ontario serve as the ideal backdrop. The Cootes to Escarpment Ecopark System, an innovative initiative in which land-owning organizations collaborate with neighboring landowners to safeguard and repair existing natural areas, as well as secure new properties to establish ecological corridors, includes Kerncliffe Park. The partners also collaborate with other regional environmental organizations to provide opportunities for sustainable recreation and education.

MOUNT NEMO

Due to its extraordinary biodiversity and distinctive escarpment-edge environment, Mount Nemo is frequently a favorite park for nature lovers. Take any of Mount Nemo's trails for breathtaking vistas, turkey vultures circling overhead, and more uncommon species of plants, animals, and insects than you can count. Don't forget your magnifying glass, binoculars, and camera. On one of the many climbing routes, those with a vertical bent might come face to-face with the escarpment. And if you'd rather stay on solid ground, there are plenty of cliffs, crags, and caverns that are just waiting to be discovered. Reservations are needed.
